Tonal Sounds
Most Tonal Sounds are produced using Synthesis and are then adapted using audio effects and filters. Tonal sounds consist of a Fundamental Frequency and the Harmonics. The fundamental is the lowest frequency on the spectrum and is used to specify the note and compose a melody. The harmonics, which are everything else on the spectrum, are used to specify the character (violin, piano, human voice, etc.) of the sound.
